With over 45 years of experience Marine Electrical Agencies is the largest electrical repairs establishments in the state of Goa, providing a premier one-stop shop for all commercial as well as marine electrical work requirements.

Established by its founder, Mr. K.P.G. Nair in 1972, Marine started off as a ship electrical repairs firm. In the year 1980 understanding the need for electrical repairs in the region, Marine expanded to provide electrical maintenance and repair services to commercial industries. A customer focused vision coupled with the high quality of service provided helped the company build a reputable name for itself across all major industries in Goa including mining, pharma, manufacturing, IT, shipping, public sector and defense.

Our expertise in the industry and relentless focus on quality has made us the Authorized Service Provider for all of the major electrical companies in India. As an authorized provider, we possess the expertise and tools necessary to complete service calls, and have successfully completed the rigorous requirements and training specifications of each of our partners.

Marine Electrical Agencies

In the year 1980 M/s. Kirloskar Electric Company Limited (Bangalore) after studying the capabilities and industrial expertise of MEA, added it as the authorised service centre for Goa area.

In the year 1995 M/s. Crompton Greaves Limited appointed the firm as their authorised service centre. Later M/s. Cummins Generator Technologies India Limited (Stamford Alternators), M/s. Siemens Limited, M/s. Elgi Electric Company Limited, M/s. Leroy Somer & Controls Pvt. Limited, M/s. ABB Limited and M/s. Mecc Alte India Private Limited also appointed the firm as their Authorised Service Centre.

We are licensed ship repairers having license issued by Mormugao Port Trust. We are also authorised to work by the Customs Authorities in Karwar and Belekeri Port. We are in the regular vendor list of a number of Indian & Foreign Shipping Companies and undertake major ship repairing jobs on board the vessels calling on Mormugao, Karwar and Belekeri Port.

We have workshops located at Sancoale, Baina and Chicalim industrial estates. Some of the highlights of our work area are:

  • Shopfloor are of over 1400 sq. meters.
  • Equipped with 12T EOT, 24 KW baking oven of size 8’x 8’x 8’, Dimmerstat of 200 Amps, dynamic balancing machine, pole winding machine, welding machines, pedestal drilling machine, lathe machine and all other test equipments, tools & tackles.
  • Mobile Crane of 15 Ton capacity of Escorts Make.
  • Fleet of vehicles for transporting men & machinery to different sites.
  • Shop floor with over 14,000 sq feet, with separate stations for delivery, winding, baking and assembly.
  • 12T EOT Crane on premise.
  • Large 8 X 8 X 8 feet Insulated Oven with separate quick heat ovenset and various induction heaters.
  • Dedicated run test setup for motors and alternators (double bearing only).
  • DimmerStat of 200 Amps for testing
  • Dynamic Balancing Machine of 2.2 T capacity
  • Pole Winding Machine

Managing Partner, K. Sasindran is a Graduate Engineer in Electrical Engineering having 42 years of experience in field of service. Engineers are trained by our Principals to attend site complaints and experienced rewinders and technicians to attend the work at the shop floor.

Community Impact

  • In association with Lions Club of Dabolim an Orthopedic Bank is run by Marine that leases out free medical equipment to the community.
  • Contributes to building the next generation of electrical engineers by providing training and hosting a classroom inside the workshop for Institute of Maritime Studies (IMS), which is now incorporated as part of their required curriculum.
  • Hands on training, apprenticeship and experience imparted by hosting students from colleges including NIT, GEC and ITI.
  • Making an impact in the society by supporting various local causes and charities.
